WHAT IS O.U.R.?
O.U.R. EXISTS TO RESCUE CHILDREN FROM SEX TRAFFICKING.
Today there are 2 million children* who are trafficked. Operation Underground Railroad works in the U.S. and around the world with law enforcement partners to save them.
In the past six years of existence, O.U.R. has rescued 3,200 victims and assisted in the arrests of more than 1,800 traffickers around the world.
Operation Underground Railroad enlists Jump Team members with experience in anti-trafficking and extraction operations with the goal of rescuing trafficked children and identifying those who enslave them. Jump Teams consist of current and former CIA, Navy SEALs, law enforcement officers, and Special Ops personnel who coordinate rescue efforts with foreign governments and law enforcement partners throughout the world.
O.U.R. searches for vetted in-country aftercare centers that will take the children immediately after rescue. These partners are able to provide quality holistic care through the healing process from trauma of trafficking. They give hope, love, and opportunity to all survivors.
An operation can cost anywhere between $50,000 and $75,000. It costs about $25,000 to train law enforcement, and for $400/month for a licensed therapist in aftercare. O.U.R. is fully funded by private donations and volunteer work. O.U.R. boasts 6,000+ registered volunteers.
